How to prepare for a job interview in 2026

Preparation is the single biggest factor separating candidates who get job offers from those who don't. Follow this complete checklist to walk into your next interview ready for anything.

48 hours before

Research the company thoroughly:

• Read their website, About page, and mission statement
• Check recent news, press releases, and blog posts
• Read their Glassdoor reviews to understand culture
• Look at their LinkedIn company page for recent updates
• Know their main products, services, competitors, and customers

Research your interviewer:

• Look them up on LinkedIn — their background and tenure

Prepare your answers:
