Identity & Privacy Experience is a product engineering team within Users, Identity, and Community (UIC) in Guest & Host. We build user-facing experiences that let people manage how they are represented, verified, and protected on Airbnb — spanning identity verification, profile visibility controls, terms of service consent, and privacy settings. We partner closely with Trust platform teams (who build the underlying systems) to deliver the product layer that users directly interact with
As Engineering Manager, Identity & Privacy Experience, you will lead a team of 6-8 engineers building the experiences that establish and maintain trust between Airbnb and its community of hosts and guests. Implement Context-Aware Profile Privacy and Social Controls — Drive the strategy for user profile privacy and social controls, focusing on solutions like context-aware visibility settings (e.g., per-reservation privacy) to ensure user profile information is protected and to give users agency over who sees their details
