As a Compliance Associate for Coinbase Luxembourg S.A., you'll be at the center of how we execute our compliance framework across one of our most important European entities. The Luxembourg Compliance team ensures our daily operations, from AML monitoring to control testing, meet the regulatory obligations. You'll own the hands-on execution of compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, and AML/CFT processes, keeping our controls sharp and our entity positioned for continued growth across the EU
What you'll do: Own the execution of AML/CFT program activities including transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, suspicious activity reporting, and KYC/CDD/EDD quality assurance reviews for the Luxembourg entity
Execute compliance monitoring and testing activities in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, documenting findings, identifying control gaps, and tracking remediation actions to closure
Prepare and coordinate regulatory reports, AML submissions (e.g., FIU/LE responses, AML Risk Assessments), dashboards, and materials for internal governance bodies
Support regulatory horizon scanning and impact assessments for new or emerging EU/Luxembourg regulations, translating changes into updates to local policies, procedures, and controls
Maintain compliance registers (controls, conflicts of interest, breaches, complaints) and contribute to the upkeep of the Compliance Risk Assessment and related frameworks
Required Skills and Experience: 3-4+ years of compliance experience within an EU-regulated financial institution (e-money institution, payment institution, bank, or MiFID II-regulated entity), with direct exposure to AML/CFT programs and regulatory reporting
Demonstrated working knowledge of EU financial regulations including MiCA, PSD2, AMLD, MiFID II, DORA, and GDPR, with the ability to apply them to day-to-day compliance operations
Proven experience executing compliance monitoring/testing plans, drafting policies, and preparing materials for regulators, auditors, or governance bodies
Fluency in English required; proficiency in French is a strong advantage for engaging with Luxembourg regulators and local stakeholders
Familiarity with crypto assets and crypto-related regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiCA implementation) is preferred
Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
