If you're ready to help the world's best companies optimize their digital applications, we invite you to explore a career with us! We are a dynamic, rapidly growing SaaS company revolutionizing the Observability market. We are seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious Senior Tax Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team
This is not a "maintenance" role. As an early, pivotal hire for our tax function, you won’t just execute processes—you will help design and build the blueprint for our tax team from the ground up. If you love solving complex puzzles, rolling up your sleeves to build new workflows, and want a seat at the table as we scale, this role is for you
What You’ll Do The Senior Tax Accountant will be a foundational pillar of the company's tax function. You will balance technical execution (compliance, ASC 740, audits) with entrepreneurial project management
Co-Build the Function: Partner with finance leadership to establish, automate, and scale our internal tax processes and strategies as the company expands globally
Project Management: Act as the primary project manager for external tax advisors, ensuring deliverables (like federal, state, and international tax returns) are accurate and on schedule
Tax Close & Provisions: Own the quarter-end and annual tax provision process (ASC 740), prepare tax journal entries, and perform flux analyses with a keen eye for detail
Audit & Notice Ownership: Project-manage responses to tax audits and notices, proactively gathering documentation and resolving inquiries efficiently
Curiosity-Driven Special Projects: Lead research and execution on special projects, including R&D tax credits, international expansion, transfer pricing, and state nexus evaluation
Process Automation: Constantly question the status quo. Identify manual bottlenecks in our current tax processes and implement modern, scalable software or workflow solutions
This Role Requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree in Taxation is a plus
Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive tax experience (Public accounting/Big 4 experience highly preferred; a mix of public and fast-paced corporate experience is ideal)
A Builder’s Mindset: Comfortabl
